New motor vehicle sales in Canada rose 2.8 per cent in
August, ending three months of declines. Seasonally adjusted data
show that 143,606 new vehicles were sold in August on the strength
of rebounding truck sales, with Ontario and Quebec accounting almost
95 per cent of this increase.
