REGINA (CP) _ More than half a million drivers in Saskatchewan will be getting refund cheques from the province when their automobile insurance rates drop July 1.
Roughly 531,000 drivers can expect to see their insurance bill drop about $80 on average because of the decision by Saskatchewan's rate review panel.
But not everyone is getting a break _ more than 200,000 drivers will find their rates going up by about $18.
The refunds are in addition to a rebate in April, when the average car owner received a $180 cheque.
All vehicles in the province are insured through Saskatchewan Government Insurance.
