Bus and truck maker AB Volvo said Monday its
Canadian subsidiary Nova Bus of Quebec has received an order for 731
buses from the province of Quebec worth $300 million.
The order for the buses was placed by ATUQ, a purchasing group
consisting of nine of Quebec's transit authorities. The buses will
be delivered between 2008 and 2012, and the order will be booked in
the second quarter, Volvo said.
The Goteborg, Sweden-based company makes trucks, buses,
construction equipment and engines. It sold its car division to
U.S.-based Ford Motor Co. in 1999.
