Citroën offers a full range of superminis with real personality, in a line-up comprising the C1 C2, C3 and C3 Pluriel.

The unique character of each vehicle has contributed to building great market success, allowing Citroën to consolidate its position in this market segment.
Building on this popularity, Citroën is updating its open-air saloon. From March 2008, the C3 Pluriel gains fresh appeal with even more elegant and stylish features. Depending on the country, it gets exterior and interior styling upgrades that show off its modern easily recognisable lines to even greater advantage and underline the sophisticated looks of the cabin.

A more sophisticated body style

With its original body lines, electric sunroof, four real seats and versatile character, the C3 Pluriel places the emphasis on appeal. While maintaining the strong and distinctive personality that has brought it renown since it was launched in May 2003, the saloon gains styling upgrades that confirm its distinctive positioning and consolidate Citroën's position in the supermini segment.
The C3 Pluriel gains larger chevrons in the centre of the radiator grille, clearly identifying it as a member of the Citroën family. The chevrons create a link between the new headlamps, which gain a "smoky" look with a new darker shade of orange for the indicators. The redesigned light units fit perfectly with the front end of the saloon, underlining its lively, vibrant looks.
The thoughtful design of the C3 Pluriel can also be seen in the new aluminium grey painted bumper grille, fitted on all levels of trim.
Echoing the front end, the larger chevrons are also present at the rear end of the vehicle. At the same time, the colour of the rear light trim has changed from aluminium grey to black.

Depending on the country, Citroën is also adding a new shade – Burlat Red – to the range of body colours already available with the C3 Pluriel (Ardent Red, Aérien Orange, Lacerta Yellow, Paname Blue, Aluminium Grey, Obsidien Black and Parthénon Cream). This shade is new to the Marque's supermini range.

An updated cabin for enhanced onboard comfort

The upgrades made to the cabin of the C3 Pluriel reflect the changes in exterior styling.  They underline the vehicle's sophisticated, meticulous looks and create a pleasant ambience on board.

All versions of the C3 Pluriel now have the same black interior design, which shows off the cabin to its best advantage. Similarly, all versions gain a polished chrome trim on the door handles, the air vent surrounds and the gear lever.

In terms of interior styling, depending on the country and level of trim, the C3 Pluriel is available with a choice of three ambiences. The first includes "warp and weft" fabric for leisure use. The other two ambiences are based on leather upholstery in a shade matching the exterior body colour, giving the cabin an elegant and comfortable look.

A well equipped and reliable open-air saloon

The C3 Pluriel now boasts a wide range of comfort equipment and driving aids from the first level of trim. Features include a speed limiter and cruise control, power folding rearview mirrors, a steering wheel adjustable for height and reach, a cooled glovebox, fog lamps, automatic headlamps and wipers, and an MP3 audio system with steering-wheel controls.

The C3 Pluriel is available with a choice of two petrol engines – the 75 bhp 1.4i mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the 110 bhp 1.6i 16V mated to the SensoDrive gearbox – and an HDi 70 diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This full range of engines makes for real driving pleasure as well as limiting fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

In terms of safety, the C3 Pluriel ships as standard with front and front side airbags, ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency braking assistance and automatic hazard warning lights. ESP is also available as an option with all engines. This vehicle obtained excellent results in EuroNcap crash tests, with 4 stars and 31 points.
