In addition, the car's spaciousness is comparable to that of a people-carrier, with the gear lever in the centre of the dashboard, the large space between the two rows of seats (the best in the category) and the high driving position, giving better control of the road and improved visibility.

The side has a solid yet dynamic look, featuring a slight break above, along which the handles are aligned, and a groove below, protecting the doors. On the inside, the elegant fabric, velvet or leather upholstery extends to the door panels, giving a powerful chromatic effect, and combines with the metallic grey or lacquered bordeaux inserts to create a refined environment, typical of the Italian style that typifies the design of the New Croma.

The new Fiat Croma gained top marks in tests for EuroNCAP 5-star certification for passenger protection (adult occupants), putting it on a par with the BMW 3 Series and beating the Audi A4.
