The world got it’s first look at the new
2007 Cadillac Escalade, back in November 2005, at an exclusive Milk Studios event in New York. The next generation of the Cadillac SUV is based on GM’s all-new full-size sport utility vehicle platform.
"Since its inception, Escalade has been a design icon and a luxurious vehicle that discerning customers aspire to own," said Jim Taylor, Cadillac general manager. "The all-new Cadillac Escalade establishes a new level of refinement and style, delivered with an instantly recognizable form that introduces the next step in Cadillac's design renaissance.”
Among the many features found in the
2007 Cadillac Escalade are an all new exterior design, spacious interior, 6-speed automatic transmission and standard roof-mounted head curtain side air bags. In addition, the StabiliTrak control system with new rollover mitigation technology is also included. Along with the numerous basic features, the Cadillac Escalade is all about modern luxuries. These highlights include 22-inch chrome wheels, climate controlled front driver and passenger seating, remote start and fold and tumble 2nd row seats.
The 2007 Cadillac Escalade features all new powertrain, chassis, safety and interior systems with a powerful 6.2-liter all-aluminum V8 engine. The new Escalade, which boasts 403 horsepower, is being released during the first quarter of 2006. The Escalade ESV and EXT models, which will feature an extended wheelbase, will be released later in the year.
