FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) _ Audi AG, the luxury car unit of Volkswagen AG, said Tuesday it expects its Chinese sales to increase at a double-digit percentage for the rest of this year.
The company, whose models include the A4, TT Roadster and Quattro, sold 58,878 cars in China in 2005, a 9.6 per cent increase from 2004, when it sold 53,720.
So far this year, the company sold 6,384 cars in China, including Hong Kong, in January, more than triple the 1,850 sold there in January 2005.
Audi said it will bring its Q7 and A4 Cabriolet models to the Chinese market later this year.
Shares of Audi closed up one per cent at 337 euros (US$401.01) in Frankfurt trading.
