INGOLSTADT, GERMANY --- For the first time ever, the 15 million readers of the ADAC Members Magazine - "ADAC Motorwelt" could vote for their favorites in the categories: car, quality, brand, innovation, personality. The Audi A6 won first place in the category "Car of the Year 2005" and was awarded the Golden Angel.
This achievement is all the more notable for the fact that the Audi A6 emerged with a clear lead over its 55 German and international competitors from all vehicle categories in this challenging poll. The success of the Audi A6 stemmed from the manufacturer's proverbial "Never Follow" approach to making cars, the outstanding comfort, emotionally charged sporty design and superlative quality of this German luxury sedan.
The ADAC's "Golden Angel" adds to the already lengthy list of awards captured by the new A6 around the globe. This year is the first time that this award has been conferred.
